It’s time to put things back in motion. We left our story with the move from Escalante to Enoch, Utah. We left everything in Escalante at the old store while we traveled. We attended the annual rock and gem show in Quartzsite, AZ for the entire month of January and ended up making two trips home. The first was to deliver a trailer we bought in order to hold two huge slab saws and an old ore car for yard decor.
Then we went back for another week or so and then came home to our new to us house in Enoch. There was lots of painting to do, as the bedrooms were purple, blue and red (and they weren’t pastel). One room took three coats, and we ended up putting oil based Kilz on his studio. We had the kitchen upgraded with new counter tops and back splash tiles, new fridge and had the ceramic tile steam cleaned. At that point, we were ready to move in – or at least start.
It took several small trips to accomplish the task, and with the help of one of our dear friends in Escalante and their uhaul style truck, the final loads came across the hills. It was quite the adventure, but it didn’t stop there.
Until next time – – –
